As we enter Q3’20, it is obvious that the battle with the Corona Virus is just evolving. We have a better understanding ( but not complete!) understanding of the virus and its effects on the human body. And the course of treatment has evolved with an improvement in the recoveries. The first vaccines are reaching the final approval stage – and then they will move into production by early Q1’21. Mass distribution will start by Q3’20 as per Gartner and effective resolution could well be in place only by 2022.
However, the war is not over. Now more than ever, with rising positive cases and threats of 2nd and 3rd waves of the virus on the horizon, we HAVE to continue with our precautions; we just cannot let down our guard.
Last fortnight has been a sad one. Covid9 claimed a victim from our Bangalore office…and an ex-colleague at HP shared how 6 members in her family were diagnosed Corona +ve -and how 2 of the elders (both her mom-in-law and father-in-law) passed away at the hospital! There are other cases as well…now it is no longer a statistics, it is too personal, with people we know and the realization that we are on the frontline!
