Now an IEEE Senior Member!

I was just informed that I have been elevated to IEEE Senior Member. This is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession.

In my case, I believe it was my work at Electronics Sector Skill Council of India in developing structured solar and semiconductor manufacturing skill curriculum linked to job roles in the industry that was recognized by the IEEE institution.

From the time that CEO ESSCI asked me to lead the skill committee for solar in 2019-2021 to leading the semiconductor skill committee from 2022-todate, this has been a pro-bono task that I dedicated myself with passion. The fact is that there were no documented skills, curriculum, qualification packs available. It was by reading, researching, interacting with peers across industry that one carefully wrote the entire piece together.  It has resulted in the first documented skill and undergraduate curriculum for semiconductor, display (MSDE /AICTE endorsed) and solar skills (MSDE endorsed).

I think I must go for a celebratory cup of tea – and leave the following thought for your reference.

Waiting for my plaque to come…
