This has been a crazy year – with the world flipped upside down- and yet, I thank God that we were spared the worst!
I know of families ravaged by the disease and it’s economic fall-out – and as we enter this holiday season and a new year, we pray for a recovery for all.
Holidays are a time to reflect – and as one reviews the year that was – and the year that will be, one hopes for hope.
This has always been the season of giving – and in humility, I have looked at doing my bit to share with some of the lesser privileged. Modest donations to SOS Children’s village will take care of a child’s annual meal costs. SOS Village is doing absolutely amazing service in bringing hope and faith to children and families at the lowest levels of the society -and it is a privilege to make a contribution to their efforts.
Another small donation was made to Vidya-an integrated development agency for youth whose children performed in a recent Amcham Christmas event.
Another small donation has been to my favorite cause- Dr.Shroff’s Charitable Eye hospital. It will multiply and take care of 3 month old Aazan’s first eye operation. Aazan has visible cataract – and needs immediate operation of his eyes. His father, a rickshaw puller, cannot afford Rs.50,000/- towards the operation costs. We have raised approx 27500/- which means that the first operation for Aazan will happen this month – and then we need to go the last mile towards his 2nd eye operation next month. If any of you wish to join me in this cause- and for a good start to 2021 – feel free to call me on 9910555970. Alternately, you can also donate directly at Dr.Shroff’s charitable eye hospital donation site.
Or you can share this post with your network – and give Aazan your blessings and prayers! May your thoughts and HIS magic turn the world for this little guy!
Do have a relaxing holiday- be safe – and wish you a great new year 2021!
